My friend has this deck made of light-dark monsters but he cant get it to run right can someone give tips on how to make this better.

ok first of all lose the mallet waboku negate attack and threatening roar and magic cylinder if the deck is well built u dont need those to protect urself
second of all its a light and dark deck so.... WHERE THE F*** IS CHAOS SORCERER AND BLACK LUSTER SOLDIER?!?!?!?!? O_________O
i would also take out the cyber archfiend, sunny pixie, ehren and gagaga magician.
and -2 ancient fairy dragon and -2 black winged dragon and +1 black rose dragon and +1 catastor and -1 Stardust and +1 brio
and ancient forest.......yeh no get rid of that and swap lightning vortex with dark hole
+1 veiler -1 ghost ship +2 rai oh -1axe dragonute and -2 summoner monk.
-2 chaos end master -2 light pulsar and -2 dark flare (unless u want chaos dragons in which case max light pulsar and keep dark flare at 2 and +3 Red eyes darkness metal dragon)
+1 avarice +1 charge of the light brigade. +1 foolish burial and +1 burial from a different dimension
+1 book of moon -1 card destruction -1 card trooper and +2 warning +2 D.D.R.

ic but you are gettin rid of the only tuners how will it the deck use synchros?

well before you take any advice what are you trying to do with your deck how do you want it to work, more control or more aggressive?

um veiler = tuner o.o
besides 3 chaos sorcerer and 1 bls is power enough
