This is my first article tell me
how I did and what could be better feel free to post your build or the type of
deck you used

The magical is
an archetype coming from “
Return of the duelist”;
they are based off tarot cards like the “
ArcanaForce”. “
The Magical’s” effects are based on “
The Books of Spell” spell cards, needing them to activate their
effects, effects to get the spells in hand, or effects to reuse the spells. Most
of “The book of spell” spell cards have the condition of you can only use one
copy of the card per turn this is probably to prevent another wind-up or
inzektors from happening. “The magical”
is a versatile archetype that can be made into a lot of different variants
waiting to be explored.
Let us go over
the cards first. There really is no main
card in the archetype it depends on what you going for in the deck.

He helps you
get any spellcaster in your grave, any level, any type, and any spellcaster

This allows you
to reuse the spell cards in your grave by putting it back in your deck, easy to
get back with all the search power you have. Boost the level and atk of any
spellcaster best thing is its permanent it’s useful for Xyz, synchros, recycling.

Effect: You can
Special Summon this card (from your hand) by revealing 3 "Book of
Spell" Spell Cards in your hand. Once per turn: You can banish 1
"Book of Spell" Spell Card from your hand or Graveyard to target 1
card your opponent controls; destroy it.
Keep it in your
pants boys, she’s a card. This card, you
could say is the “BOSS” monster of the deck.
You may think that her summoning condition is inconsistent but in my experience
mostly to all the spells in your deck will be “book of spells” and it’s not
uncommon to to have 3 in your hand at a time with junon. On the second effect its an easy cost from
the start of the duel until the end you will almost always have spells in grave,
also can destroy ANY card on your opponents side of the field.
L’amour the

Effect: Once
per turn: You can reveal 1 "Book of Spell" Spell Card in your hand;
Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Spellcaster-Type monster from your hand.
This card is
lovely has possibilities xyz, synchro, any other random shenanigans. L’amour’s effect
kind of explains itself.

Effect: During the Main
Phase of the turn you activated a "Book of Spell" Spell Card: You can
Tribute this card; Special Summon 1 Level 5 or higher LIGHT or DARK
Spellcaster-Type monster from your Deck. You cannot Special Summon other Level
5 or higher monsters the turn you activate this effect.
This card won’t see play in all builds, but
you will see in some. Her effect is easy to get off with all the searching
spell cards you have and a level 5 or higher spellcaster light or dark monster
sounds good to me, I believe most spellcaster monsters above level 5 are light
and dark. She’s versatile a pretty good
card.

Effect: When
this card is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up: Add 1 "Book of
Spell" Spell Card from your Deck to your hand.
Simple searcher.
If you don’t want to be left open, you can set him for your search.

First up

Effect: Add 1
"Book of Spell" card from your Deck to your hand, except "Grimoire
Book of Spell". You can only activate 1 "Grim Book of Spell" per
turn.

The hygromantei
book of spell
Target 1
Spellcaster-Type monster you control; that target gains 1000 ATK until the End
Phase. If that target destroys an opponent monster by battle: You can add 1
"Book of Spell" card from your Deck to your hand. You can only
activate 1 "Hygromantei Book of Spell" per turn.
Usually I would
not waste space on a normal spell that raises atk only until the end phase, but
it gets you a “book of spell” card when your monster destroys another by battle,
so it’s a card to look at.

EQUIP SPELL
Banish 1
Spellcaster-Type monster from your Graveyard and reveal 1 "Book of
Spell" Spell Card in your hand to target 1 Spellcaster-Type monster in
your Graveyard; Special summon it, and equip this card to that target. Increase
the Level of the equipped monster by the Level of the banished monster. You can
only activate 1 "Necronomicon Book of Spell" per turn.
This is a
pretty good card does better than I thought kind of like a faster “call of the
haunted”, but be careful I messes with your monsters level which can be a pro
and a con.

1 face-up Spellcaster-Type monster on the field; apply 1 of these effects.
● This turn,
that target is unaffected by the effects of other Spell Cards.
● This turn,

Great card not
much to say, except that it’s great because it is a quick play spell.

Now on to some decks, and play styles. These decks are not the only ones you can
build just some skeletal ideas, be creative and do what you feel like.
Anti-meta
This is a sort
of anti-meta deck, for those of you who don’t know how to play an anti-meta
deck basically prevent powerful plays, run over them with your beats stick,
cripple there deck. This type what I would do, is search with grim for torah,
summon forse put grim back in deck with forse’s effect, set torah and other
cards, sit on it wash, rinse, repeat. Here

shrink(keeps your monster from being destroyed also doing battle damage,quick play so chainable)

compulsory(get rid of annoying cards,especially extra deck cards)
dimensional prison(a good trap card)
Temper decks
Your goal here is to use tempers
effect to get out a high level spellcaster and troll the field with it, or use
any other tactics you see fit. Cards you could use instead of junon are in the
side also some suggested cards.

endymion, the master of magician(endymion builds ofc)
fortune lady dark(this may make fortune ladies more consistent)
magical marionette(you do activate alot of spells he will gain like 400 each turn, pop two each turn)
sorciere de fleur(all types of crazy shenanigan you might be able to do with her)
bound wand(atk gain, and you will get your monster back if its destroyed)
diffusion wave motion(kinda situational but worth a look)
heavy storm(staple i dont run in the deck)
magical dimension(helps get your clogy high level spellcasters out of hand, and on the field)
wonder wand (atk boost, draw power)

Other decks you could try is level
3 engine with l’amour, tour guide and other level 3 spell casters. Maybe archinite
magician assault mode, level 4 engine with exemplar and monk, spellcaster turbo
I would recommend birdman and any level 3 spellcaster monster.
Most of these are suggestions so feel free to explore
My conclusion is I like this archetype because its original and gives the duelist many possibilities for the
play style and deck they want to use so go wild =)
