| The BlackWings Hello everybody and welcome to my article. First of all let me introduce myself. My name is Norton-Security, I'm 16 years old and I'm from Georgia. I got attached to this game when I was a kid, I think I was about 7,8 years old not sure. First I was watching Yu-Gi-Oh just for fun, when this game first came out I was a big fan of Dark Magician and Blue Eyes White Dragon, after I became a big fan of God Cards and everything.... Than one day I found a game called KCVDS ( Kaiba Corporation Virtual Dueling System " Yeah, I know it's freaking long name " ) and I started to play it, I think when i first found that game it was 1.15 Version or something... it had some normal monsters, fushion monsters, few effect monsters and traps and spells. First deck I made was Exodia I guess or spellcasters or Blu Eyes Dragon deck... I was really noob, I didn't know anything xD... So I started playing and slowly slowly I became better and better.... Than I became a big fan of E-Heroes and than Tele-Dad... and right now I'm a big fan of Blackwings. I joined this Academy when it just opened I guess, there were Snakedoc and Victor BBS and than we started building this Academy! Which of course became the N1 Academy in the World! Anyways it's about time to Start the Article! The Topics we going to talk about: 1) The Biography of Blackwings 2) The Cards 3) The Combos The Biography of BlackWings - Quote :
- The "Blackwing" archetype, known as "Black Feather" archetype in the Japanese version, is a series of monsters which mostly consist of DARK Winged Beast-Type (except "Blackwing - Aurora the Northern Lights" which is a LIGHT monster) monsters making their debut in "Crimson Crisis". In the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's anime, they are used by Crow Hogan. Most of these monsters are somewhat humanoid and have either a tengu or bird-like appearance. Also, most of "Blackwing" monsters feature black in their design, usually on their wing feathering. Most are named after types of wind and air currents, except for the manga version, who are named after weapons instead. They are a Deck with swarming and speed capabilities. When Crimson Crisis was released, this Archetype was very unsupported - only 5 "Blackwing" cards were released: "Gale the Whirlwind", "Sirocco the Dawn", "Bora the Spear", "Armor Master" and "Raptor Wing Strike". Later on, with the release of Raging Battle and Ancient Prophecy the set grew into a highly swarming and powerful Deck. The speed it gives with its swarming, along with its additional Synchro Summoning capabilities landed this Deck a place on the Shonen Jump Circuit; The deck proceeded to win the 2009 World Championships and remained popular the following year. New "Blackwing" monsters and support are released in The Shining Darkness and Starstrike Blast, giving them alternative strategies. The cards relate to various types of birds and several types of winds.
The Cards Blackwing - Shura the Blue Flame Effect: - Quote :
- When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 "Blackwing" monster with 1500 or less ATK from your Deck. That monster's effect (s) is negated.
Attribute: DARK Types: Winged Beast/Effect Level: 4 ATK/DEF: 1800/1200 Card Effect Type(s) : Trigger Number of Copies your should run in your deck: 3x This card is one of the most powerful cards in BlackWings. It's ATK power and it's effect makes him really strong! of course, It can't handle cards like Thunder King, Cyber Dragon, Gravekeeper spy and etc, but it can really kick hardly most of the cards. This card allows you to summon a level 5,7 Synchro type monster in 1 turn, all you have to do is destroy your opponents monster! Which Cards do we usually bring out with Shura? 1) Blackwing Armor Master: Shura + Gale 2) Catastor, Librarian: Shura + Vayu ( Many people make mistake here, they all think that Shura doesn't negate vayu's effect but it does, it's written also in the rulings! "Just wrote this because many people doesn't know about that " ) 3) Black Rose Dragon: Shura + Gale ( Well sometimes when you feel yourself in trouble this Synchro can really help you A LOT, but it's little risky, because your opponent can have something like Solemn Warning, or veiler, or idk anything that can negate your Black Rose, so when you want to play this card pay a lot of attention! I usually summon this to get rid of my opponents heavy monsters. Also in this time, it's dangerous because people will start adding Starlight Road to decks and a lot of Veilers, I see 2x 3x veiler almost in every deck! 4) Trishula: Shura + Vayu + 1 bora in hand: Also really easy to summon, You just need a bora in your hand and you can summon trishula or mist in 1 turn, and get some advantage over your opponent. I suggest you to summon this when you have a little bit of advantage or when you are in a very big trouble and you can't do anything else. 5) Utopia,SteelsWarm any lvl 4 Xyz Monster: Shura + Bora from your hand, It's really fast and you can dominate the field with a Monster that has 2500 ATK!
