well, in light of leaving ADA for quite a while (and might be longer) and having lots of alone time, I thought I'd start my own story just like GFT Shadow Girl. Mine is a bit bigger though, and actually follows up from the actual series, just involving people from ADA< and the main site (kaibacorporation), so if you see your name in the story in a role you may not like, sorry if it was insulting (unless its KOD, should he ever return, which, I am sure he will)

well, lets start

Chapter 1: Prologue

The story takes place a few hundred years after the story of yugi, jaden and yusei. Their constant battles with those who use duel monsters for evil purposes have resulted in them ending up in many duels where the loser has his soul sucked into the shadow realm. Fortuneately but unfortunately, they never felt to such a fate, and their exploits have resulted in the banishment of many evil souls into the very darkness they sought to send others into. But how long will they remain there ?

As time went along, the vast amount of souls trapped in that realm has caused breaks in the shadow realm and the dimension we live in, allowing some souls to break free. While unseen and normally unnoticed
, these souls themselves can do nothing on their own, but they have one ability that makes them some of the most dangerous duelists known: They can enter the body and overwhelm the souls of others, allowing them to take over their body and do with it as they choose. With time, their power grew to be able to do this with the very tools they attempted this with before. Duels with them can become shadow duels at any time they choose, where, just like before, the loser has his or her soul sent to the shadow realm. This is done by adjusting the duel disk to inflict damage to the person's actual life force with each attack, similar to what anubis done to atem in his battle against kaiba. Only this time, the body is left behind, allowing the shadow duelist to use the body to expand his own forces. However, if he should lose, the original soul is returned to its body, and the shadow duelist is sent back to the realm he came from. Nonetheless, for this ability to take over the body of hackers, these duelist are referred to by the many academies as soul hackers.

Some soul hackers can take this further. With their power, they can discard the use of a normal duel and use the duel disk itself to generate somewhat real versions of the cards they play, outside of battle. While only temporary, these illusions or holograms are capable of doing physical damage to the person, and also inflicting damage on their life force as well. Some even have the power to tie together the lifepoints of the duel disk, meaning that even after a battle, the damage you took would be reflected on the duel disk, meaning its lifepoints wont reset to 8000 immediately and as long as you battle with it, you will continue to take damage to your life force. The duel disk also cant be removed unless your life points reset to 8000, but fortunately this can be done with simple rest, or other methods to recover vitality in real. As if their power has no limits, some can force the activation of duel disks such that the person cant refuse. However, with that done, they also make it possible for others to step into the battle at will, and, due to the conditions they set forward, the soul hacker cant refuse when someone else joins in.

However, the worst manifestation of their power is not the ability to take over people, but the ability for some not to take over someone, but send them off to the shadow realm, body and soul. In such a case, the person is sent to the shadow realm completely, and so far, there has been no record of anyone who has been sent there recently, ever getting out. To make matters worse, to recover ones own lifepoints, soul hackers can use the life force of other people, duelist or not, to recover their own, and the same rules apply to such victims as those who end up losing in shadow duels. This however can only be done by very few soul hackers, particularly, very strong ones with decks to match. The worst combination of these abilities was recorded on April 4th 2134, New Domino City. An entire appartment with 18 people went empty, all the inhabitants of the apartment simply disappeared, with no trace for police or anyone else to follow. Even now the case is still open, and out of all the 19 people living in the apartment, only 1 person escaped as he wasn't there at the time, Kaiza.

There are a large number of duelist, but most are not aware of this new threat to their existance, except for a few organized groups who aim to finish the job The 5 kings of duelists started many years ago.


(sorry, I got really bored and this is the 1st time such ideas came to my head. Ill continue the story as I get time, adding a new chapter when I log on. For now, this is the basis of the story, and yes, it begins with the main star, having a nightmare. How it ends, well, still deciding)

*Kaiza darts through the small groups of people in front of the academy, breathing heavily, but showing no signs of slowing down as he races to the room in which his 1st day of ruling classes begin*

*A man, dressed in a white shirt and tie walks into the class with a set of cards and folders in his hands. He comes and rests it on the table, and instead of sitting on the chair provided at the front of the class, sits down on the table edge instead, and pulls out a card*

Vongola: my name is Vongola, but you can call me L-Noir, now to --

*Kaiza slams the door open, breathing heavily and holding onto the door knob for balance, startling everyone*

Vongola: well, if you were here a few minutes earlier, you'd realize that if you're new, then we get one of the older members to spend the day with you giving you a tour of the school

CyberZane: I tracked down the person who defeated him, and tried to erase his memory to hide the evidence, but

*flashback of the battle with CyberZane and Kaiza*

CyberZane: he challenged me too, and drained my lifepoints too low for me to use mind crush, and, with my only way of getting out being either to kick his a** and risk destroying his soul, or tell him what was going on.....
Snakedoc: *sighs* must be you -_-
CyberZane: how was I supposed to know it had someone strong enough to defeat a soul hacker ? give me a break

CyberZane: he said he wants in, and wont take no for an answer, so I told him he has to register with this academy, and we wont accept anything lower than obelisk dorm

GFT Shadow Girl: here is where one goes to apply for survival mode, where, according to your survival level, you are given a list of opponents which, you have to find on the academy, and beat in a match duel.
Kaiza: how do I know what lv I am ?
GFT Shadow Girl: well, lets go see

*Shadow Girl takes Kaiza to the reception desk, where a girl can be seen talking to the desk clerk

SeraphicGirl: I want snakedoc as the obelisk member for my survival, I'm allowed 1 obelisk right, and he's an obelisk member
Norton Security: yes, but he's an admin, just like me, I cant just register an admin for a survival
SeraphicGirl: why ?
Norton Security: well, uhhh. Well, you're supposed to go and find the opponent and battle them, and they aren't supposed to know until the end

Details:

-First you have to apply for the event at the survival application reception desk (mention which mode you want, easy or hard)
-After that, you are given a list of few opponents depending on your level.
-There are 5 levels
**1. level: 2 opponents
**2. level: 4 opponents
**3. level: 6 opponents
**4. level: 8 opponents
**5. level: 10 opponents
-You rise your own level by beating all opponents from your list
-You have to win every duel
-Once you lose, you lost the event and have to start from beginning, you have to apply again and you will get a new opponent list. Losing in this event wont affect your current level (it stays like it was before you lost)
-If there is some challenger who has you as his opponent and if you as challenger have him as your opponent, you both may do the challenge at same time, so you do not have to do the match twice. After the match you will have to post in both topics. (Winner stays, loser is off.)
-If you don't have time for this event, or if you won't be active, DO NOT take a part. (some people challenge and then leave without finishing)
-You will have a deadline set depending on the number of your opponents.

There are 2 game modes:
*EASY MODE
-Deck changing allowed between matches for the challenger
-Deck change restricted during a match
*HARD MODE
-Deck changing restricted during a match and between matches for the challenger
-Your opponents will act like a team, after you defeat one opponent, the other one must know your deck

(for both modes)
-Latest konami ban list
-Side deck allowed during a match
-loser choses who will go first and second
-Banned decks: any type of Exodia deck, burn (a deck based on inflicting damage), mill (deck based on removing cards from opponents deck), stall (deck based on a tactic which doesn't allow your opponent to attack or attack directly)
-You need a confirmation from your opponents to approve the duels you have won
-staff, dark and light dorm are considered as obelisks in this event

Kaiza: hu, this should difficult, and you're supposed to search the academy for them, and you cant tell your opponent's until after the end ?
Norton Secruity: yes. Also, if you pick hard mode and win a battle, you're to give the opponent a list of other challengers as well, which they are allowed to inform

*GFT Shadow Girl opens the door to the room, and before they enter, Shadow Girl pauses at the door, clearly unhappy with what she saw, In the room, a few Televisions and display screens, as well as various game consoles can be seen. Two of the Televisions are on, as well as the consoles attached to them, and 3 people and a machina gearframe can be seen using them*

GFT Shadow Girl: here one can do anything that's legally accepable after classes are over, hang out with friends, play non duel disc battles once you can keep your cards from blowing away

Machina Gearframe: a duel is started when a duel disc that is active locks on to another active duel disc. A forced activator actives any nearby duel discs

*kimo Force and Kaiza watch down on their duel disc to see it activate without their consent *

Kimo Force and Kaiza: ???

*GFT Shadow Girl turns around and immediately locks her duel disc onto Kaiza's own*

GFT Shadow Girl: if its true that you got 90 out of 100, then you must be strong
GFT Shadow Girl: in that case, duel me, I want to see for myself

Kaiza: (thinking) dam .....
Kaiza: *sighs* must be me

*Kaiza raises his own duel disc and locks on to Shadow Girl's own, to accept the battle*

GFT Shadow Girl: since I'm the challenger, you get to go first

Vongola: this is exactly what she did me on my 1st day here, I lost by an inch, I don't think he'll do much better

GFT Shadow Girl: shura the blue flame attacks
Kaiza: its nova summoner, and since it was destroyed by battle, I activate its effect, and special summon another one from my deck
GFT Shadow Girl: well, since Shura the Blue flame destroyed a monster by battle, I get its effect, and I can special summon 1 blackwing monster with 1500 attack or less from my deck
GFT Shadow Girl: ill special summon blackwing-vayu the emblem of honor
GFT Shadow Girl: main phase 2, ill synchro summon shura the blue flame, and vayu the emblem of honor to special summon ally of justice casastor

Kaiza: now, ill remove from play 2 nova summoners, 1 herald of orange light and caius the shadow monarch to special summon sky scourge enrise, and use its effect to remove from play dark armed dragon
Kaiza: now, Magical android attacks blackwing armor master (GFT Shadow Girl's lp: 35oo)
Kaiza: and ill end my turn, actiavting android's effect, increasing my lp by 600 (Kaiza's lp: 5900)
GFT Shadow Girl: well, my turn

Snakedoc: its why we use special duel disc which can temporarily use cards outside of battle as their normal holograms. Not everyone has these discs, and the holograms can only damage soul hackers, or other holograms
Kaiza: I doubt soul hackers can do such thinsg with duel disc
Snakedoc: actually, they can. To make matters worse their own can be done with any duel disc, and the holograms they create
Snakedoc: not only have the ability to do damage to humans by damaging their lifeforce, but also to structures such as buildings as well
Snakedoc: with this said and done we cant afford to tell everyone, but we're telling you this as you wanted in
Kaiza: what about people who witness such battles ?
CyberZane: I can answer that

*CyberZane pulls out a mind crush card*

CyberZane: for people who witness the event, we use this on them
CyberZane: our duel disc has the ability to use cards outside of duels, well, same for monsters, same for spell and trap
CyberZane: with this card, we search out the memory of the event in the target's mind, and seal it away, so they wont remember

CyberZane: tried to. On some people with a strong life force, it doesn't work, hence we may need to duel them to weaken it, but never to drain their lifepoints to 0

*CyberZane then raises his duel disc to show a small trigger underneath it*

CyberZane: this button here is only located on duel disc that can generate holograms outside of battle. Pressing it triggers a soul duel, in which the damage is done to someone's life force. However, dont use it on normal people
CyberZane: in draining a soul hacker's lifepoints to 0, the soul hacker is removed from the body, we dont know what it'll do to the soul of a normal person if used against them, if their lifepoints drop to 0
CyberZane: also, if the other person's duel disc doesn't have this ability anbd its used on them, their duel disc also gets the ability for that battle alone, and you've seen what happens

CyberZane: nonetheless, we have the issue of unwanted witnesses covered, and so far, not 1 witness, other than you has remembered this event, and not 1 witness has been lost, all have survived

*meanwhile, at the entrance to ADA, a dark skinned girl with red hair, a black jacket and a black hood walks trough the crowd at the front entrance of ADA, bumping into someone on the way

Hooded Girl: (thinking) well, not really

*The girl walks through the crowd slowly and heads off to the back of ADA, breaking away from them as the rest head through the main entrances into the building. Moving to the back of ADA at the walls of the messaging center of ADA, out of site from anyone, she activates her duel disc and places a debris dragon on it*

Hooded Girl: card activation: debris dragon

*upon saying those words, black smoke starts to surround her and starts to swirl in a whirlwind, quickly loving away from her body and dissapating in a spot in front of her. From the smoke, an image of debris dragon forms out of a black smoke and solidifies, with the solid version quickly gaining the ability to move its body parts. she hops onto the debris dragon and uses it to fly to the top of the messaging control room of ADA, and hops onto the roof, off of debris dragon, who disappears after she gets off of it. She then takes debris dragon off her duel disc, place it back in her deck, and takes another card out, this time, drill warrior*

Hooded Girl: card activation: drill warrior

*doing the same procedure she did for debris dragon, a drill warrior appears*
Hooded Girl: ok, now drill a hole into the roof
Drill Warrior: ..............................

*the drill warrior aims its drill at the roof and starts to drill a hole into the roof. From inside the room, the staff members can hear the whirring of a drill, followed shortly by dust falling on their head*

Control room staff 1: what the ?

*As they look up, the drill making the hole stops and is removed, leaving a big hole in the roof. she then jumps down from as drill warrior disappears. Upon falling, the control room staff present quickly notice her and move towards her*

Control room staff 1: hey, what the hell did you just --
Hooded Girl: card activation: cold wave

*with this card, all the staff members freeze in their spots, and she walks by them and goes to the microphone control area. She activates the microphone and uses it to speak*

*meanwhile*

Location: ADA gaming room, time: 11:02 am

*Kaiza, Machina Gearframe, Yilaster, SeraphicGirl, GFT Shadow Girl and Dissonant Harmony can be found in the room playing Soul Caliber 4, Naruto Ninja Storm 2, and Call of Duty Black Ops respectfully*

*meanwhile in all the other classrooms, everyone hears this message across the speakers, and starts to head for the stadium. While walking there, Minako meets up with DIssonant Harmony, GFT Shadow Girl, and the rest of the group from the gaming room

*Kaiza goes into his bag and switches decks around on his duel disc, then quickly heads to the stadium. As he gets closer, indistinct chatter can be heard, getting louder as he gets closer. Upon reaching the end of the entrance, he sees the source of the noise. The stadium seats all halfway full, with more people coming into the stadium as he walks in. In the arena itself, a hooded girl can be seen, holding a microphone in her hand and swinging it around, also armed with a duel disc*

*at the stadium chairs, GFT Shadow Girl, Machina Gearframe, Dissonant Harmony, Yilaster, SeraphicGirl, Vongola and SeraphicGirl walk into the stadium stairs and take a seat*

*the girl removes the hood off her face to reveal to reveal who she is, and everyone is shocked upon seeing for themselves. Its Alice, but with far darker skin, and what seems to be a rather mischievous smile on her face*

Someone From the Crowd: Alice ?
Someone Else from the crowd: but she was missing for 5 days, why come back now, and why do this ?
Person from crowd: is she drunk ? things like these can get her suspended ?

*with that word, the entire crowd goes silent, and she turns back around to face Kaiza*

*minako hurries down the stairs and runs quckly to the head admin office, while alice watches as she darts out. As she leaves, Alice then turns and focuses on Kaiza*

*when minako leaves the room, alice pushes a small trigger on her duel disc, and then, a small black coloured whirlwind starts to surround her, starting to blow dust in all directions and even reaching as far as the crowd on the stadium. The whirlwind quickly dies down, becoming a small black gust surrounding alice, leaving the entire stadium crowd startled and shocked and almost lost for words as the black whirlwind continues to surround her*

Vongola:(thinking) this is alice ?
Person from Crowd: what the hell did you just do ?!
Kaiza: (thinking) this really isn't good
Alice(hacked): heh....

*she then takes the microphone and starts to speak through it, sending her words to the entire audience*

Alice(hacked): you see my dumb friends, maybe you should go and ask snakedoc about this little skirmish that's going on between my kind and his set of weak little soldiers
Alice(hacked): after all, isn't it better to know the identity of those who destroy you ? rather than to just be taken out without even knowing it ?

*Kaiza goes and makes a deck switch, and while doing the switch, notices a trigger below his duel disc, the same trigger as the ones on CyberZane and Lucifer's own*

*Kaiza uses his remaining energy to search for the trigger for a soul duel on his duel disc, finds it and activates it. Upon its activation, a strong whirlwind also surrounds Kaiza as well, originating from his own duel disc. The gust is so strong that it starts to move the chairs at the floor of the stadium, and leaves alice lost for words, as the whirlwind is not black, but white and black. The whirlwind around Kaiza dies down a bit, but still remains strong, strong enough to overshadow the effects of alice's own. Kaiza gets off his knees and starts to breathe normally again, leaving alice in even more awe*

Alice(hacked): (thinking) what the --
Kaiza: ok, fine, lets go
Vongola: (thinking) this is too weird ....
Vongola: (thinking) why did Minako leave ?
SeraphicGirl and GFT Shadow Girl:
Kaiza: activate pot of duality, and ill reveal the top 3 cards of my deck (forbidden lance, blackwing-gale the whirlwind, mystical space typhoon). Ill keep gale, and return the other two to my deck
Kaiza: now ill activate monster reborn, and ill special summon caius the shadow monarch from your graveyard.

*the attack actually makes Alice stumbles a bit, making her breathing a bit harder*

*before she could finish, the whirlwind around her roars up again, blowing loose and light objects around and making it impossible to see her. It quickly dies down, to reveal alice lying on the floor, eyes closed, no longer of black complexion but of normal complexion, and her duel disc de-activated*

Kaiza: *sighs*
Kaiza: ?!

*immediately after her duel disc deactivates, Kaiza's own de activates as well, and he falls to the floor, breathing very heavily and barely able to move. Right after, snakedoc and CyberZane bursts in*

CyberZane: alright where is the bastard !
CyberZane: huh ?

*Cyberzane sees Kaiza and alice lying on the floor, with alice getting up, quickly regaining consciousness, and looking well confused, just like the rest of the crowd*

*CyberZane goes to Alice and gets her off the floor while Minako holds Kaiza by the shoulders and drags him out*
