Imperial Iron Wall:
Continuous Trap
Effect: Cards cannot be removed from play.
A short and simple effect, yet very devastating in the eyes of some. This card has not seen play for decades now, but this meta made us realize how such old cards can be very useful these days. After the debut of dragon rulers, banishing cards has been nothing but a joke now. Every competitive deck right now has the tendency to banish cards, which makes this card an awesome side deck choice, heck i even main it in some decks.
It has some Cons against the big 3 decks this format. This card stops most of the cards in a dragon ruler deck, if not all. From all 4 main dragons, to seven swords and even gold sacro. Most of the prophecy decks do not main MST, since they have spellbook of fate to deal with any threat, but unfortunately they cannot stop Imperial once it is resolved (although they can chain fate to the activation of Wall). With Fate gone, spellbooks become vulnerable. It can also disrupt evilswarms to some extent, as it makes their key card, Kerkyion Dead.
It also causes problems to many of the old decks, such as dino rabbit, agents, chaos, windups, etc.
As a bonus, it also stops some common annoying traps like bottomless and prison.
However, like any other card, it has weaknesses in that it does not provide a quick advantage and can be a dead card if opponent plays a deck that does not revolve around banishing.
So here are my thoughts for now, what do you guys think about it and its relevance in this game? Do you side this card, or prefer to use other common side cards? Get your Geek on and Discuss!
