Hey guys, I dont know if any of yall remember me or if anybody really knows me now a days lol but well I used to be an active member in the past and recently I have been thinking about coming back to the game. I will probably stick around and see if I like how the online dueling community is now a days to see if I want to start again. If I know ya say wassup and if I dont, then dont hesitate to say hi I like meeting new duelists as well.

ill summarize it

during KCVDS times, where the forums were strict and often unreliable, and the advertisement of academies were allowed, they flourished as they allowed players to get isolated, and often better help, allowed people to communicate easily, and players to make friends to duel with (something KCVDS blew at, as even their admins refused to duel in the 1st place)

ever since DN, academies have become invalidated as the very roles they performed was now done not just by the DN forum, but the game itself. Why post a topic on a ruling when you can ask it in the chatbox which has ACTIVE admins for once? Why use an academy to make friends when you can make friends on the forums or on the chatbox the same way? Why use an academy for deck help when both the forum and chatbox can do it quickly, and with the site itself organizing tournaments and team wars, why use an academy? Its no wonder KCTAU shut down and outsourced its functions to DN forums. Coupled together with the fact they dont allow advertising, it was only a matter of time before academies overall simply died out. Those that survived, survived because its members did all it took for it to live, but on ADA, its becoming more and more difficult as the very members itself have lost almost, if not, all interest in dueling, and with the members slowly choosing not to duel anymore, (either because they are busy, the game has no appeal anymore, or a combo of both) its only inevitable that the academy will begin to wither like this

If you want ADA to survive, those who want it to have to do what they can to help, and as a start, at least playing the game would be nice. But sadly, even I am slowly losing any reason to play this game.

Oh yeah, if this help I've heard of program/game/something where you can play with custom created cards. Me and Croc once had grand idea of reviving ADA using custom cards, but at time the old game we found didn't work out. However this one works perfectly from what I heard. I can't remember the name right now, but if needed I can did it up.

well.... cant we like restart this academy? like give it a new name and URL and like reset all the dead posts only keeping the new ones? and delete all the non active members and stuff only....dont reset the active people's profiles plz cuz thats gonna make ppl rage...

Correction: It would make you rage. And only Snake can do that, but I don't think that changing name would be good, it's better to keep the old, known name.

Who? Croc is gone as well, I ain't got time, studies are now pushing me to maximum plus I don't duel anymore and there's nobody else left to do it.

Custom cards can be played in the YGOPro (altough it's not welcomed.)
Also there are the anime cards (the ones that weren't released) and have Speed Spells too. All of this is called Anime Mode.

PS: I think we should make a complaint against DN (join forces with other academies). DN MUST be ONLY a dueling system, and an intermediate tool. If they want to organize tournaments they should go something like Olympic game system (Each academy sends players from different dorms in order to duel.)

You understood it wrong Agi. I meant that any dueling system have some limits that can't be crossed and DN has gone beyond those limits. Their so-called rating system is practically promoting haters, envy and their only decks are meta. No love for game, no guts and what's more important: no fun. All of this is caused by DN policy. The DN community is holding up only to one reason: it can be accesed from anywhere.
Online admins?!. they may be online, but they don't have any experience in administrating. Since I played YGOPRO for a half a year or so, I met a lot of players who were banned WITHOUT warning from DN due the various reasons that simply aren't valid and that's it.
They're interfering way to much in the YGO life. They're erasing practically any trace of YGO comunities (academies) that are separated from their site.
How YGOPro works?!. By the looks on how you promote it, it's impossible NOT to get the wrong idea. I suggested to pass to YGOPro, you didn't take my advice. I would give you a link to an academy that uses this dueling system but I would be breaking the rules.

Thanks again, captain Obvious, for explaining things that were... obvious... -.- Seriously, it took you long enough to realize that. But do not worry about DN. We don't need to do anything sooner or later it will die.

P.S. ADA doesn't have any rule that would forbid you to use YGOpro. Users are free to use whatever system they want.
