All of you that have seen Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's series must have noticed Yusei and Jack using very powerful monsters with unique effect.
First of all there is this little tuner:
LIGHT
Dragon/Tuner
Level 1
ATK 0/ DEF 0
Effect: This card cannot be used as a Synchro Material Monster, except for the Synchro Summon of a "Majestic" monster.
Looks pretty weak and useless doesn' t it? However without this little monster you won't be able summon the powerful monsters. Good way to summon this little monster is by using spell card
One for One.
Secondly, you need a Level 1 monster for this summon. There are many monsters that can be Special Summoned and of course you may Normal Summon it as well. Very useful monster for this is
Battle Fader, because once your opponent declares direct attack you may Special summon it, end the battle phase and later use it as Synchro Material.
You also can try using
Wolf in Sheep's Clothing. It allows you to Special Summon Level 1 monster from your hand and add monster with same name to your hand, when you take direct damage.
Another good monster used for this summon could be
Tuningware. Once used for summon you get a card as a bonus.
You can also try
Stardust Xiaolong. When you summon
Stardust Dragon while Stardust Xialoong is graveyard, you can Special Summon it and later use it for Majestic Dragon summon.
Next, you need one of two Level 8 Dragon Synchro monsters. First one is Stardust Dragon:
WIND
Dragon/Synchro/Effect
Level 8
ATK 2500/ DEF 2000
Effect: 1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
When a Spell, Trap, Spell/Trap effect, or Effect Monster's effect is activated that destroys a card(s) on the field: You can Tribute this card; negate the activation and destroy it. During the End Phase, if this card negated an effect this way during this turn: You can Special Summon this card from your Graveyard.
Quite a strong monster I have to say. Negate's card destruction and Special Summons itself afterwards.
There are many ways to summon this monster. A really comfortable way to summon it is by using Trap Card
Starlight Road. It negates card destruction (only if 2 or more cards would be destroyed) and summons Stardust Dragon. Quite a broken card if you ask me. There are many other cards that can be used to summon it, but I'll leave that up to you.
Other monster that can be used for Majestic Dragon summon is Red Dragon Archfiend:
DARK
Dragon/Synchro/Effect
Level 8
ATK 3000/ DEF 2000
Effect: 1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
After damage calculation, when this card attacks a Defense Position monster your opponent controls: Destroy all Defense Position monsters your opponent controls. During your End Phase: Destroy all other monsters you control that did not declare an attack this turn. This card must remain face-up on the field to activate and to resolve this effect.
A very powerful monster with devastating effect! It destroys your opponents defense position monsters which is a great effect against those players who love to defend a lot. And even though it destroys those comrades that didn't attack this turn, it is still a very good card.
Now, it's time to summon the powerful monsters. First up, Majestic Star Dragon:
WIND
Dragon/Synchro/Effect
Level 10
ATK 3800/ DEF3000
Effect: "Majestic Dragon" + "Stardust Dragon" + 1 non-Tuner monster
You can Tribute this card to negate the activation of an opponent's Spell Card, Trap Card, or Effect Monster's effect and destroy all cards your opponent controls. Once per turn, you can negate the effect(s) of 1 face-up monster your opponent controls until the End Phase. Also, if the negated effect can be activated, you can activate it once as this card's effect. During the End Phase, return this card from the field to the Extra Deck, and Special Summon 1 "Stardust Dragon" from your Graveyard.
A powerful negating effect and even effect drain. Such monster is dream of each duelist. You can negate effect of pretty much anything you want and even use one of yours opponents monster effects. Plus this monster has very high ATK so what more could you wish for?!
Second one is Majestic Star Dragon:
DARK
Dragon/Synchro/Effect
Level 10
ATK 4000/ DEF 3000
Effect: "Majestic Dragon" + "Red Dragon Archfiend" + 1 non-Tuner monster
This card cannot be destroyed by card effects. If this card attacks, destroy all Defense Position monsters on the field after damage calculation. Once per turn, you can negate the effect(s) of 1 face-up monster your opponent controls and have this card gain ATK equal to the negated monster's ATK, until the End Phase. During the End Phase, return this card from the field to the Extra Deck, and Special Summon 1 "Red Dragon Archfiend" from your Graveyard.
This monster cannot be destroyed by card effects, destroys all defense position monsters, negates one monsters effect and even gains it's ATK! What could be even more powerful then that?! And it's original ATK itself is high. Your opponent will have tough time dealing with this monster.
Now for the main problem of Majestic Dragons. They return to Extra Deck during End Phase. Even though their previous forms are summoned, it's not a nice feeling to let go of such powerful monster. So here are some ways to keep your Majestic Dragon for more then one turn.
First of all there is
Book of Moon. When you finish your attacks, you simply activate it and that way your monster will stay on field for one more turn.
Dimensionhole is also useful at such situation. You remove from play your monster and get it back during next Standy Phase.
Then of course there is
Skill Drain. Majestic Red Dragon will lose all it's effect however a monster with 4000 ATK is quite impressive even without the effect. However, Majestic Star Dragon keeps it's first effect because it involves tributing itself as an activation cost, thus not being on the field when the effect resolves.
You can try using
De-Synchro to get back all the Synchro Materials used for summon and summon Majestic Dragon next turn again.
Another way to keep your Majestic Star Dragon bit longer is by using it's first effect and later summoning it with
Monster Reborn or
Wicked Rebirth. This won't apply to Majestic Red Dragon since it can't be destroyed.
These were some basic advises for your Majestic Dragon's, feel free to use them and good luck!
