If you've ever had a moment where you were utterly appalled by the deck you'd made because it was so outrageous in what it did, this thread is for you:

HieroGishki Whydoesthisdeckexist2

This is a mix of Gishki and Hieratic that thrives off a loop between Evigishki Gustkrake, Stellar Ptolemys Messier 7, and the Hieratic series, which works as follows:

1) Pitch Gishki Shadow for the Mirror (if necessary pitch Vision Gishki as well)
2) Activate the Ritual, Tributes a Hieratic for Gustrake. Put a card from their hand back in their deck, special a Wattmeter-Dragon at 0 ATK and DEF.
3) Make Messier 7, detatch Gustkrake to get Gishki Shadow back from the Grave
4) Return Mirror to your Deck to return Gustkrake to your hand, and pitch Shadow to get the Mirror back in your hand.

Know why Wind-Ups are dangerous? Of course you do; it's because they kill your hand. This does that too, except it also fills your field with 2700 beatsticks. Does that sound fair at all? Not really. That's why my image name is WHYDOESTHISDECKEXIST.jpg. If anybody ever feels like being a tool to their opponents, try out this deck.

Is this build nearly good as original hieratic dragons in current OR next format (considering that REDMD will get hit)?

Ill try it out and see what happens

Tbh I prefer this to regular Hieratics. They're very OTK-based, this is more control. It allows for easy destruction of the enemy hand, much like Wind-Ups, except you get better field presence. Asuming Gustkraken isn't hit, it should be able to compete.

This deck has bad enemies

Simple 2 BTH, 2 Torr, 2 Sol Warn = already 6 cards that almost every deck runs to stop you
Those are just cards all decks can use, imagine more that are most likely to be in any deck
+veiler

Can a deck be a control deck without traps to have field advantage?

It's because you attack the hand. Out of those 6 you just named, only 2 would stop the effects from going off. If they Veiler one Gustkraken, it's the same net result and it's only going to get used as Xyz fodder anyway. Oh, and Warnings fail hard against Gishki Aquamirror.

By the time I've looped, I've taken at least 3 cards out of their hand (and back to the deck, where it affects draws and aren't accessible) and have 3 2700 beatsticks in play.

If that doesn't work out, I have a slew of other decks.

That was the intent, seeing as this was a powerful OCG deck. Subbing in another LV6 Gishki won't help. Put this to bed.

So the deck has no other variant and is dead if that banlist hits it?

Apart from the obvious Gustkrake, the other Level 6 Gishki Mons suck. Given time I may be able to engineer something with the Level 8's, but it will be nowhere near as good. Final verdict: not worth it for competitive, relegated to fun.
