Mega-Dragons from SPACE!
In a break with tradition, the Dragons Collide Structure Deck has not one, but two Ultra Rare cards: Lightpulsar Dragon and Dark Flare Dragon. Along with Eclipse Wyvern, these two mega-Dragons from space can really amp up the power of your Dragon Deck!

Lightpulsar Dragon is the key to creating and un-yielding army of Dragons. When it goes from the field to the Graveyard, you get to special Summon a Level 5 or higher DARK Dragon-Type monster from your Graveyard. The obvious Dragon of choice is Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon, which can Summon a Dragon from your hand or Graveyard each turn. Use it to revive Lightpulsar Dragon, and then even if you’re wiped out by Dark Hole, Torrential Tribute, or Mirror Force, you can just revive Red-Eyes and try again!
Lightpulsar Dragon has 2500 ATK and can be Summoned from your hand by banishing a LIGHT and a DARK monster from your Graveyard, or from your Graveyard by sending a LIGHT and a DARK monster from your hand to the Graveyard. Or you can just Tribute Summon it, since its Level 6! It’s a very flexible card, and once you have one on the field or in the Graveyard, the Summons just keep coming.
Of course, this combo requires two specific high-Level monsters that you can’t directly search your Deck for (yet). That’s where Dark Flare Dragon comes in. You Summon it from your hand by banishing a LIGHT and a DARK monster from your Graveyard or Tribute Summoning it. It lets you send a Dragon from your hand and a Dragon from your Deck to the Graveyard each turn to banish a card in either player’s Graveyard.
This effect is useful for a lot of things. It can banish your opponent’s Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World before they can re-Summon it or their Inzektor Hornet before they have a chance to Summon another Inzektor to equip it to. More importantly, however, it lets you send Dragons to your Graveyard much like you would with Dragon Ravine, but without needing to keep a Field Spell active and protected. Protecting a 2400 ATK monster is way easier. Here’s a quick combo that gets you from having neither Lightpulsar Dragon nor Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon to having both, within 2 turns.
1. Summon Dark Flare Dragon.
2. Use Dark Flare Dragon’s effect to send Lightpulsar Dragon and Eclipse Wyvern to the Graveyard and banish a card from either Graveyard.
3. Eclipse Wyvern’s first effect activates and lets you banish Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon from your Deck.
4. Next turn, use Dark Flare Dragon’s effect again to send any 2 Dragons you want to revive later to the Graveyard, and banish Eclipse Wyvern.
5. Eclipse Wyvern’s second effect activates, letting you add the banished Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon to your hand!
And then you can go to town! You already have a Dragon on the field to banish for Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon, but if you have another one available, you can banish it instead, Summon Red-Eyes, revive Lightpulsar Dragon, and have 7700 ATK worth of Dragons that’ll just spring back up from the Graveyard if your opponent wipes them out!
A good way to set up for this play is by Normal Summoning Dodger Dragon from Extreme Victory. It’s Normal Summon can’t be negated, it can be the Dragon you banish to Summon Red-Eyes, and Counter Traps can’t be used during the turn it’s Normal Summoned. That means those pesky Solemn Warnings and Solemn Judgment along with Divine Wrath can’t be used to stop you!
If you’ve never built a Dragon Deck before, now’s the time to give it a try!
