T.G Decks and Combos Empty
PostSubject: T.G Decks and Combos   T.G Decks and Combos Icon_minitimeTue May 24, 2011 9:16 pm

The Tech Genus monsters (T.G. for short!) are designed to help you
Synchro Summon the best Synchro Monsters with speed and efficiency. Here
are some basic combos to get you started with your own T.G. Deck!

The first step towards mastering the T.G. strategy is knowing that
you shouldn’t worry about running out of monsters to attack and defend
with. T.G. Cyber Magician, T.G. Rush Rhino, T.G. Striker, and T.G. Warwolf all
have an effect that lets you add a different “T.G.” monster to your
hand at the end of the turn if they are destroyed. You can Summon or Set
them to attack or defend, and then search your Deck for monsters you
need for your Synchro Summon combos if your opponent destroys them.
There are 3 major combos you can use to start Synchro Summoning right
away.

T.G. Cyber Magician has an effect that lets you use
“T.G.” monsters in your hand when you use it to Synchro Summon a “T.G.”
monster. Normal Summon Cyber Magician, then use a T.G. Rush Rhino from your hand to Synchro Summon a Level 5 T.G. monster like T.G. Power Gladiator! T.G. Power Gladiator is
one of three Level 5 “T.G.” Synchro Monsters. It has 2300 ATK and
inflicts damage to your opponent even when it attacks and destroys a
Defense Position monster. Also, if Power Gladiator is destroyed in any
way, even if it’s also removed from play by a card like Bottomless Trap Hole, you get to draw a card!

Special Summon T.G. Striker from your hand, then use T.G. Warwolf’s effect to Special Summon it from your hand as well. Now you can Synchro Summon T.G.Wonder Magician! T.G. Wonder Magician is
another Level 5 Synchro Monster. It has 1900 ATK and destroys any
Spell or Trap Card on the field when it is Synchro Summoned. LikePower
Gladiator, you get to draw a card if she’s destroyed! She’s also a
Tuner monster, just like the ever-popular Formula Synchron, and can be used to Synchro Summon during your opponent’s turn!

T.G Decks and Combos Dragonfalcon_whaaaa_0503

There’s one more Level 5 “T.G.” Synchro Monster, T.G. Hyper Librarian,
but it’s not available for use yet. It’s a 2400 ATK Spellcaster that
lets you draw a card each time a Synchro Monster is Synchro Summoned.
When it’s available to everyone, one combo you’ll be able to use to
Summon it is Normal Summoning T.G. Catapult Dragon, then using Dragon’s effect to Summon T.G. Jet Falcon from your hand. Then you can Synchro Summon.

All of these combos are easy to pull off because any time you have
one of the pieces, you can get the other by Summoning a “T.G.” monster
with a search effect and letting it be destroyed. You don’t always have
to Summon “T.G” monsters though. With a little creativity, you can
Summon devastating monsters that no one will expect!.

By combining Elder of the Six Samurai with T.G. Striker (It’s a Warrior Tuner!) you can Synchro Summon Legendary Six Samurai – Shi En.
By keeping your opponent locked down with Shi En, you can give yourself
a turn or two to prepare your next combo, Synchro Summon Wonder
Magician, destroy a Spell or Trap card, and get ready to Summon an
incredibly powerful new Level 10 Synchro Monster, T.G. Blade Blaster.
Once Blade Blaster is on your side of the field, it’s almost impossible
to stop.

Now lets talk about building a T.G Deck

So i was talking about a few of the basic combos that the
Tech Genus Deck (Or “T.G” for short!) can use. We also told you there’s a
Level 10 Synchro Monster, T.G. Blade Blaster, that can
win Duels all on its own. Read on to find out exactly how easy it is
for you to Summon Blade Blaster and dominate duels with its impressive
ATK and incredible effects.

T.G Decks and Combos EXVC-EN042_TGBB_0427

One of the best things about Blade Blaster is that its easy to
Synchro Summon. Use any two of the three combos we talked about last
week, and the monsters you Summon with them can be used to Summon Blade
Blaster. Synchro Summon T.G. Wonder Magician and any other Level 5 Synchro Monster and you can trade them both in for a Blade Blaster.

Nearly all the T.G. Monsters let you search for other T.G. monsters
if they’re destroyed, these combos are very consistent, and performing
two of them in one turn is pretty easy. Even so, if you’re a slow and
steady type of Duelist, you can Synchro Summon Magical Android, Ally of Justice Catastor, or even Legendary Six Samurai – Shi En on one turn, control the pace of the duel with them for a bit, and then unleash T.G. Wonder Magician on a later turn to Synchro Summon your Blade Blaster!

There are 3 big reasons that T.G. Blade Blaster is so hard to overcome.

1.) Its ATK is HUGE!
With 3300 ATK, there are very few monsters that can manage to bring this big guy down.

2.)Spells and Traps that target won’t work!

Whenever your opponent activates a Spell or Trap
that targets your Blade Blaster, you can send any card from your hand to
your Graveyard, to completely negate it. It’s almost like a bigger Gladiator Beast Heraklinos. And if you’ve ever stared one of those down, you know first hand how hard it is to get rid of!

3.) Anything your opponent does on his turn won’t work!
Any time during your opponent’s turn, you can remove
from play one “T.G.” monster in your Graveyard, to remove your Blade
Blaster from play. Then, during your Standby Phase, you get to Special
Summon your Blade Blaster right back to your field. If your Blade
Blaster is in mortal danger, all you have to do is remove one T.G.
monster from your Graveyard from play (and you’re sure to have a bunch,
considering all the Synchro Summoning you just did!) and your Blade
Blaster will escape, completely unharmed and ready to attack your
opponent on the very next turn.

With so many easy ways to Synchro Summon Blade Blaster, the Tech
Genus Deck is definitely something you’ll want to keep an eye on in the
coming weeks. With T.G. Hyper Librarian on the horizon, Blade Blaster, and the T.G. Deck in general, will just be getting even better.

I personally dislike Cyber Magician, but I have one copy of him in my deck just in case. Warwolf, Striker, and Rush Rhino are pro. Warwolf and Striker for swarm with Rush Rhino as a Beater. Makes Alius look like one sassy whiner. Jet Falcon and Catapult Dragon aren't that great in my opinion since you still don't gain card advantage.
As for Power Gladiator, he sucks. I'd rather run Catastor, Wonder Magician, or Hyper Liberian.
As for Blade Blaster, noooooooot sure. I honestly don't run him in my deck. He's not bad, and he's not good. Effect monsters are still common among us online duelists, so I don't suppose it'll do much unless we're talking about Stun here. I use Shooting Star Dragon instead.
Hyper Librarian is used in all Quasar decks for his amazing +1 card advantage skills next to Formula Synchron.
Wonder Magician is simply amazing. I mean, destroying a backrow card upon hitting the field? That's just sweet! And a +1 to hand upon destruction, AND, it's a Tuner!
Warwolf can run in many decks along Striker and not just T.G.. Think about it while using Junk Synchron, Glow-Up Bulb, Dandylion, Debris Dragon, etc. It doesn't even claim that it has to be special summoned from the Graveyard either like Doppel Warrior, but it's not as great as it due to the lack of the token special summon ability.
