Basically use only one Gradient Map which doesn't ruin the signature's color. Also insert a Color Balance adjustment layer for color concentrations and both Levels and Curves. Play with all three and you should get the exact results.
I can still make a tutorial, but it'll take a while until I can get back on my feet.

You're really good at Vector Sigs.. D:

The "Lost Crusader" one is nice, the render could be blended in with the background more.. and the text font and placement could be better, but still nice.. ;o

The Graffiti one is awesome.. o.o Very nice flow, nice colours, nice graffiti work.. o.o

Only problem I can find right now is that you need a light source and better lighting.. ;o
