Naturia is one of the many exciting families of monsters you can find in Hidden Arsenal 2 and Duelist Revolution. The Naturia Deck is mainly made up of EARTH monsters that can shut down various parts of your opponent’s strategies by negating the effects of your opponents Monsters, Spells and Traps or preventing them from activating them altogether. Some of them even reward you for the plays your opponent makes.
Most Naturia effects work by reacting to cards your opponent plays. When your opponent Normal Summons or Sets a monster, you can Special Summon Naturia Cosmobeet from your hand. When a Trap Card is activated, you can send 1 card from the top of your Deck to the Graveyard to Special Summon Naturia Rock from your hand. If you have a Naturia Antjaw on your side of the field, you can Special Summon a Level 3 or lower Naturia monster from your Deck whenever your opponent Special Summons a monster. These effects work on either player’s turn, so if your opponent tries to play any cards on your turn, you get to Summon more monsters!
Those “Naturia” monsters you Special Summoned don’t have to just sit there though, you can use them to Tribute Summon or Synchro Summon larger and more powerful Naturia monsters. Naturia Beast is a 2200 ATK, Level 5 Synchro Monster that can only be Synchro Summoned with EARTH monsters, like Naturia Cosmobeet and Naturia Rock. When Naturia Beast is on the field, you can negate the activation and effect of any Spell Card by sending the top 2 cards from your Deck to the Graveyard. If you want to know everything this monster can do, check out our Naturia Beast article here. Naturia Leodrake is the biggest of the Naturia monsters (for now). This Level 9 Synchro may not have any effects, but with 3000 ATK, it can win most of its battles.
There are other Naturia monsters that can negate your opponent’s cards or stop them from playing them altogether too. Naturia Vein can negate a Spell or Trap Card by Tributing itself and another Naturia monster. Naturia Rosewhip is a Level 3 Tuner that limits your opponent to playing only 1 Spell or Trap Card per turn. Landoise’s Luminous Moss is a Normal Spell Card that can be activated when you control a Naturia monster. For the rest of the turn, your opponent can’t activate any Monster Effects, which means they can’t Tribute Stardust Dragon, Doomcaliber Knight or Thunder King Rai-Oh, or add cards from their Deck to their hand with Sangan and XX-Saber Darksoul. They can’t even use the effects of monsters in their hand, cards like Honest, Blackwing – Kalut the Moonshadow, Battle Fader and Gorz the Emissary of Darkness, so you’re free to attack at will!
Some Naturia monsters can affect your opponent’s attacks. When you control Naturia Mosquito and another Naturia monster, your opponent can’t attack Mosquito, and if they attack the other monster, they take all the Battle Damage instead of you. This can work really well when your opponent has a powerful monster, but is close to zero Life Points. Just have a Naturia monster with very low ATK take on their monster, and Mosquito’s effect will win you the Duel! Naturia Beans needs to be attacked twice to be destroyed, as it can protect itself once per turn. Also, when your opponent attacks it, they lose 500 Life Points, so it’ll cost them a total of 1000 to get rid of your Naturia Beans in battle. When combined with Naturia Mosquito, an Attack Position Naturia Beans can do a lot of damage to your opponent.
”Naturia” monsters even have their own Field Spell, Naturia Forest. Whenever you negate the activation of one of your opponent’s cards, you can add a Level 3 or lower Naturia monster from your Deck to your hand. While this works well with cards like Naturia Beast and Naturia Vein, Naturia Forest’s effect can also be triggered by non-Naturia cards, so you’ll even get a free monster from your Deck when you play Solemn Judgment or, Dark Bribe, or use Stardust Dragon’s effect against an opponent’s card.
