Quote from konami :The “Scrap” monsters from
Duelist Revolution are all about recycling. Many “Scrap” monsters have effects that let you Special Summon from the Graveyard, or get cards back to your hand. They’re really good at Synchro Summoning, and their Level 8 Synchro Monster
Scrap Dragon is so good that Duelists are playing it in all sorts of different Decks – even Decks that don’t play other “Scrap” monsters. The center of the Scrap strategy is
Scrap Chimera. It’s a Level 4 monster, and when you Normal Summon it, you can Special Summon a “Scrap” Tuner from your Graveyard. That means instant access to Level 3 and Level 4 Tuners:
Scrap Goblin and
Scrap Beast. You can only Tune
Scrap Chimera to other “Scrap” monsters, and you have to Synchro Summon a “Scrap” Synchro Monster; but if you can Normal Summon
Scrap Chimera, you can instantly Synchro Summon
Scrap Archfiend or
Scrap Dragon. With three Chimeras in your Deck, that’s a lot of power.
With the right Graveyard, you can turn Scrap Chimera into Scrap Archfiend or Scrap Dragon in an instant!
Before you start Summoning
Scrap Chimeras you’re going to want to make sure you have
Scrap Goblin or
Scrap Beast in your Graveyard.
Scrapstorm makes it happen: it’s a Spell that lets you pick one of your face-up “Scrap” monsters; sends a “Scrap” monster from your Deck to your Graveyard; then draws you a card. Finally,
Scrapstorm will destroy the face-up monster you picked.Use
Scrapstorm’s effect to send
Scrap Chimera to your Graveyard.
Scrap Goblin and
Scrap Beast both have effects that return a “Scrap” monster from your Graveyard to your hand if they’re destroyed by a “Scrap” card like
Scrapstorm, so you can use either Tuner’s effect to get back
Scrap Chimera. With Goblin or Beast now in your Graveyard you can Normal Summon Chimera, Special Summon the Tuner, and Synchro Summon a monster. There are more combos that recycle monsters, too.
Scrap Golem is a Level 5 monster that can Special Summon a Level 4 or lower “Scrap” monster from your Graveyard each turn. It can Special Summon to your field, or your opponent’s. That means you can Special Summon
Scrap Goblin to your side and Tune the monsters together for any Level 8 Synchro Monster, or send the 0 ATK Goblin to your opponent’s field and hammer damage through it. You could bring back
Scrap Beast for its 1600 ATK as an attacker, too, and keep your Golem to use its effect again later. You don’t even have to Tribute Summon
Scrap Golem: you can Special Summon it from your Graveyard when your opponent destroys your
Scrap Dragon. It’s usually the best card to Special Summon with the
Dragon’s effect, because it has high ATK and can make for easy combos.
These monsters will help you load your Graveyard for some Scrap-happy combos.
Since loading the Graveyard is so important to a Scrap Duelist, you’ll probably want to run more cards that help you do that.
Scrapyard will get you the
Scrap Tuner you need for your
Scrapstorm combo.
Foolish Burial can help too, while monsters like
Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter,
Card Trooper, and
Morphing Jar can send several cards to the Graveyard with one effect. You can even play
Summoner Monk: its ability will let you discard a Spell Card you don’t need, to Special Summon
Scrap Beast for a quick Synchro Summon. That loads the Graveyard for
Scrap Chimera later. Here are some cards that are often played in Scrap Decks:
Monsters:
Scrap Chimera
Scrap Beast
Scrap Goblin
Scrap Golem
Battle Fader
Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter
Card Trooper
Cyber Dragon
Morphing Jar
Summoner Monk

One of the coolest things about “Scrap” monsters is that you can build a Scrap Deck in different ways. While most Scrap Duelists will definitely want to play Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter, you can add more “Lightsworn” monsters like Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress and Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner. That lets you use the powerful Spell Cards Solar Recharge and Charge of the Light Brigade to dig through your Deck, and you’ll send lots of cards to your Graveyard. Mix Scraps with “Gravekeeper” monsters like Gravekeeper’s Spy, Gravekeeper’s Guard, and Gravekeeper’s Descendant, and you’ll be able to Synchro Summon Arcanite Magician and play DARK-themed cards like Allure of Darkness. You could even add Quickdraw Synchron and Dandylions to make a Quickdraw Scrap Deck. You can add different cards to turn a regular Scrap Deck into something totally new. However you decide to build your Scrap Deck, you’ll find that Scrap monsters are fast, and let you unleash big monsters turn after turn. Try the Deck yourself, and show your opponent that it’s time to take out the trash!Next week :Gemini monsters
