Be Careful with your hand size - Trap Dustshoot TrapDustshootDT04-EN-DNPR-DT

trap card:

activate only if your opponent has 4 or more cards in their hand. Look at your opponent's hand, select 1 monster from their hand, and return it to their deck

march 2011 was a format in which, with no heavy storm to worry about, people were free to use their spell/traps as they chose, placing numerous amounts of spell/trap cards on the field, sometimes even setting their entire hand or using spell cards to bluff as trap cards, for false, but sometimes effective, protection

With the september 2011 banlist came the return of heavy storm, and, with it, the end of the days in which people set their entire hand 1st turn. So great was the fear of that card that not only did it make players conservative of their spell and trap, but also made their entire deck design change, to holster more monsters than it used to, keeping their hand stocked, and making it a repeated victim to this card

but how good is this card anyway ? well, lets see

"Look at your opponent's hand," is something very few cards can do. Doing so allows one to get an insight into what the opponent has in store for you. Skilled players can then use this to determine what the opponent's moves will be, and what he has to be prepared for. But its not much if hat you have at your disposal cant stop their plays. Hence the 2nd effect

"select 1 monster from their hand, and return it to their deck" can do serious damage to any deck. Almost all decks win their battles with their monsters, there are very few exceptions. With this said, those decks also need their monsters to start the chain of plays that lead to their win condition. But it always starts with one monster. This card can completely disrupt that by returning the monster back to the deck, making those chain of events happen, much more slowly. This can do damage ranging from great disruption (main monster lost, alternative ways of retrieval present but will take time to work) to deck destroying disruption (main monster gone, no alternative ways of acquiring it present) which can be dire for the person on the receiving end

so, ideas ?

this card is staple in all my decks <3

reasons : 1 , with the coming of heavy, ppl who have big hand size of traps and little monsters will fear heavy => not set all => BAM my first turn trap d,

2 : if opp gets full monster hand , even worse for him

~~~~~~~~
evading this card ? : if u know for sure the opp uses this main in 2 cards, either dark bribe or starlights so u wont fear heavy, DH, TT, gyza, icarus and a lot of others ...
